Economic Research and Policy Analysis Branch
This paper explores the impact of inward and outward foreign direct investment flows on capital formation in Canada. This research empirically examines the argument that a higher net investment abroad is associated with a reduction in domestic capital formation, employment and production. This study also investigates whether the country of investment by source or destination makes any significant difference on domestic capital formation.
