Voiceover: The pandemic meant new levels of demand for medical gowns and other personal protective equipment.

Mustang Survival, a marine apparel and goods company, was one of the many companies that stepped forward to do its part to help Canadians.

When the federal government requested help from manufacturers, Mustang Survival retooled its operations to manufacture reusable medical gowns to do its part to help fight COVID-19.

Voiceover: The Burnaby, B.C., company worked with Canadian textile manufacturer Stedfast, from Granby, Quebec, to quickly design, source material for, and produce level 3 medical gowns.

Looking for a made-in-Canada solution to the need for more gowns, ISED acted as the matchmaker between Mustang Survival and Canadian textile companies that could provide fabric.
