Technology Demonstration
Program (TDP)

The call for applications has closed. For newer funding for dynamic and emerging firms in high-growth sectors, visit the Strategic Innovation Fund.

The Technology Demonstration Program (TDP) was launched in 2013. It provides non-repayable contributions to support one or more large scale projects per year. Projects supported by the program are expected to ensure a concentration of technology development in priority areas with significant potential for broad-based and long-term economic benefits. As well, projects funded through this program are expected to be the basis for the next generation of manufacturing, technical capabilities and services in Canada, and to generate material economic benefits for Canada in the longer term.

The Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) program was launched in 2007. It provides repayable contributions to support innovative projects by aerospace, space, defence and security companies. The program encourages research and development leading to new or improved products, services and processes, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian companies in the aerospace and defence sector, and fosters collaboration between research institutes and the private sector.
