Bulk/retail petroleum products
Course description
This 5-day course provides participants with the necessary knowledge to examine volumetric measuring devices used to sell petroleum products, such as retail fuel dispensers, high speed refuellers, truck mounted meters and bulk metering systems. Topics will include the applicable sections of the Weights and Measures Act and Regulations, bulletins and test procedures.
A written exam will be administered at a Measurement Canada office the next business day following the completion of the course. Participants not receiving the required 70% passing mark may re-write the exam 30 days after the date of their unsuccessful attempt at a cost of $123.18.
In addition, the successful completion of a practical exam is required prior to being granted authority to examine devices used to measure petroleum products as a recognized technician

Non-automatic weighing device specifications (NAWDS)
Course description
This 5-day course provides participants with the knowledge required to examine non-automatic weighing devices, such as point of sale systems, platform scales, overhead rail scales and vehicle scales. Topics will include the applicable sections of the Weights and Measures Act and Regulations, bulletins and test procedures.
A written exam will be administered at a Measurement Canada office the next business day following the completion of the course. Participants not receiving the required 70% passing mark may re-write the exam 30 days after the date of their unsuccessful attempt at a cost of $123.18.

Coriolis-Effect Mass Flow Meters
Course description
This 4-day course provides students with the necessary knowledge to examine Coriolis meters to measure normally liquid products (low vapour pressure) as well as high-vapour pressure products such as LPG and Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3). Topics will include the applicable sections of the Weights and Measures Act and Regulations, bulletins and test procedures.
