  • Teach students to make connections between everything they learn.

Outstanding achievements:

Accomplished exceptional work in curriculum development, adapting provincial requirements to meet student needs.

Contributed significantly to the design of new science labs, particularly the biology labs, and to the acquisition of new microscopes, laser disk technology, marine aquaria and other indispensable teaching tools.

Initiated a highly successful program of field studies.

Created the opportunity for students to do advanced lab studies by establishing an education partnership with the University of Victoria and the Bamfield Marine Station, a facility operated by five universities.

Students consistently rank high in provincial examinations, Advanced Placement results and national biology competitions.
