English Abstract

A 2D/3D Scanner and printer (1) is provided. The system includes an enclosure having a 2D/3D scanner (2) a full color or mono 3D printer; an embedded controller board with USB/WiFi connection built in, a 64 bit PC with ,multi core processor, a motorized turning table (5), a fully authorized and customized program (online/offline update available), and motorized rail for scanner position control (3).

1 CLAIMS The specifications and drawings are not intended to limit the scope of this patent. The embodiments of the described invention in which an exclusive property is claimed are defined as follows: 1. A 2D/3D scanner and printer, compromising: A 2D or 3D scanner, a PC with 64 bit processor, a full color or mono color 3D printer, a motorized turning table, an embedded controller board with built in USB /WiFi. 2. A remote management and maintenance method to control, program, service and configure the 2D/3D scanner and printer system.

CA 02893111 2015-06-01 1 DESCRIPTION [0001]The present invention relates to a 2D/3D scan and printing system called 3DU in this document, which allows the end user to get an advantage of the latest technology of Hardware and Software, Multi core processors and 2D/3D IR camera to make an accurate 3D scan of a person's body with all the details including textures with an automated design. This created 3D scan called 3D mesh and the software could export either an .obj or .ply or .stl format. This file will be send to a 3D printer for a print the object in full color including textures. BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS [0002] FIG.1 is a three dimensional view of 3DU (1). [0003] FIG.2 is a block diagram of PC program architecture used in 3DU (1). RAM GROUND OF THE INVENTION [0004],For the last couple of years the technology had so many new inventions in 3D scanning and 3D printing so it would be valuable to use the technology of hardware and software to design a complete system for end user with the minimal experience in those technology in order to scan an object or person and 3D print them in full color and complete texture. DETAILED DESCRIPTION [0005]In the following description, for the purpose of the explanation, specific details are set in order to provide a good understanding of a 2D/3D scan and print system (3DU)(1). The following description provides drawings, application examples which should not be construed in a limiting sense as they are just some of the possible implementation of 3DU (1). CA 02893111 2015-06-01 2 [0006]Referring to FIG. 1, a 3DU (1) of the present invention is illustrated. A regular 3DU (1) may be is made of wood, metal (6) and Plexiglas (3). The scanner or multi scanners for capture the 3D image in very short time (2), a PC with 64 bit processor, a full color 3D printer (5), a motorized turning table (4), an IR camera, an Embedded controller board with built in USB or WiFi to communicate with PC (7). The authorize admin have full access to setup the application, different functions, configurations and process anytime from anywhere and also capable of getting fully report of the system in use . [0009]Another aspect of the 3DU (1) is a method to turn on and turn off the system which makes 3DU (1) easy to use for commercial purposes. The system is intelligently turn- on after plug into the [0010]Another aspect of the 3DU (1) is the 3D printer (5). The 3D printer (5) prints is able to print in one color or full color with option of choosing the right material for the print. [0011]The 3DU (1) includes a motorized turning table (2). The turning table (2) includes at least a brushless motor a speed control and metal or wood/ hard plastic case. =The RF signal is coming from the PC will turn the turning table on/off. The 3DU (1) is capable to turn on/off the turning table synchronized with the software (2), change the volume of potentiometer change the speed of rotation for more control and comfort. [0012]The 3DU (1) has been described with reference to flow chart illustrations and block diagrams of methods and PC program products according to embodiments of the invention.
